New Kickstarter: The Science and Psychology of Video Games


Divider - Design - 45%I have decided to start setting up my Kickstarter project, and have published a page specific for it on this site as well. All of the details can be found on the current draft page for the project on Kickstarter itself.

Despite being a prolific writer and reader, I have never written a book before. I’ve considered it, like many people have, but never took any earlier attempts seriously. Now that I have established myself somewhat across various websites, and have found both a hobby and an outlet I’m passionate about, it seems like as good a time as any to get things rolling.

How Isolation Damages the Soul


I like to think of the human conscious as a sort of “chamber.”

Inside of that chamber, we produce thoughts, feelings, ideas, etc. These products are like echos inside the mind.

The greatest (and perhaps original and most base) use for these “products” of our conscious to relay these ideas unto other people, in essence “bouncing ideas off of each other. The interesting thing I wonder, however,is what happens when someone has no one else to share, or “bounce,” these ideas with?

Perhaps the echos just reverberate off of our own conscious, which completely goes against their base purpose, and in fact damages us in the process. With each ricochet, a little more of our own conscious, our own soul, is whittled away, like an ocean constantly beating against a rock. Continue reading
